Dr. Maria Luque is a health educator and fitness expert that specializes in helping women in mid-life take charge of their own wellness as they transition through menopause. A native of Germany, Dr. Luque pursued a career driven by a passion for health and fitness. After her service in the US Air Force, this former military Fitness Program Manager, decided to make her passion a career and take her education to the next level. She holds graduate and post-graduate degrees in health sciences. Throughout her years working with clients, it became very clear to her that there is a lot of confusion about how to help menopausal clients. For that reason she has immersed herself in researching the menopausal transition and what role physical activity plays. Her focus is on helping women understand what is happening to their bodies and how to navigate through this challenging time in a positive manner. This topic is more than just an academic and professional focus for her – it’s a passion. Dr. Luque currently teaches at the College of Health Sciences at Trident University International, in addition to conducting workshops, group/personal training, and writing.
